My lesson starts with introduction of new topic to the students. I use to give the students one or two questions from what they know before which will then link to the new topic. I use step by step approach in my teaching and the students are allowed to ask questions and contribute their ideas during the lesson.
I have taught maths and further maths for over 25 years and I use different methods which include : Reasoning and problem solving; connecting representation in teaching. During my lesson, I use to give class work and mark. This enable me to check the level of students understanding of the topic and where to put more effort for better understanding of the topic. Finally, the students will be given assignment at the end of the lesson. The assignment will be submitted and marked the following day. The questions will be solved so that the students can correct their mistakes. The students are free to to ask questions during or after the lesson. I am very friendly and always ready to help my students.

I had the privilege of being taught by Mr Obeta in my secondary school days. He has the ability to break down the most complex problems in a way any one would understand.
His attention to every detail was unparalleled, his patience in explaining in the simplest terms from first principle, his ability to cater to everyone irrespective of strengths or weaknesses were key attributes that made him a great teacher.
In addition to his excellent teaching style, I have never seen someone more dedicated at his job: Mr Obeta selflessly administered free extra tutorials to all SS3 students preparing for their WASSCE examinations. He would selflessly start the free lessons as early as 6am in the morning and his efforts paid off as my school came first in Further Mathematics in the 2013 NECO SSCE out of all the Federal Government Colleges in the country.Recommendation
