I have taught 6th grade math for 6 years. I have taught Advanced 6 for 4 years. I have tutored students in 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade in math as well. I enjoy helping students learn more and build their confidence as math learners.

I provide my students with a lot of choice in math class. I use a variety of different types of instruction. Some of those being fluency practice, online escape rooms, task cards, math games, and online checks for understanding. The more practice students get with a skill the more confident they become and their true understanding is shown. I make sure that my students know I am there to support them in being successful and teaching them multiple different strategies that they can then use when posed with a math problem. Perseverance is key in my lessons.
