About Mahathi
I enjoy teaching because there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a student finally understand a topic they once found difficult. I’ve been tutoring since Year 11 and, now in my fourth year at university, I’ve worked with learners as young as six right through to students my own age. This experience has taught me how to adapt my approach to different needs and learning styles, while keeping lessons engaging and supportive.

I structure my lessons to help students learn efficiently and retain knowledge. We start by going through the content clearly, followed by a guided practice question. Then, the student tackles a similar question independently, which we review together to finalise understanding. This approach helps build confidence, improve accuracy, and reinforce the material in a focused way. My lessons usually last an hour, but can go over depending on the difficulty of the subject. Academically, I’ve always been driven and consistent, from scoring straight 9s at GCSE, to all A*s at A level, to scoring in the top 1% for the UCAT. All of my tutees have received offers from medical schools (e.g. Cambridge, Glasgow, Plymouth, Imperial, etc) so I know what it takes to tackle medical school interviews! In terms of subjects, I am comfortable in teaching all the sciences and maths up to A levels.

If you’re looking for a tutor who really knows their stuff and can actually explain it clearly, Mahathi is a great tutor for you. She teaches biology, chemistry, physics, and maths, and has a real knack for making complicated topics make sense.
What’s great about Mahathi is how adaptable she is. Her lessons are relaxed but focused, and she always makes sure students actually understand what they’re doing instead of just memorising it.
If you want someone who’s approachable, reliable, and genuinely good at helping people improve, then I’d highly recommend Mahathi as your tutor!View more recommendations
