About Abdul
I am currently a 3rd year medical student at the University of Cambridge. I have been tutoring GCSEs, A-Levels, and Medicine applications/interviews for the past 3 years. Several of my students have received offers from the University of Cambridge to study Medicine. I achieved 3A*s at A-Levels (Biology, Chemistry and Maths) and 9s at GCSEs. I undertook my GCSEs in only a year (due to complications with living in the USA for a while). During my studies in the USA, I was nominated as the student of the year in high school for various subjects and was ranked in the top 10% (Rank 8 of 1162). I also took AP (Advanced Placement) classes during my time in America. I achieved a silver award on the intermediate biology Olympiad during my A-Levels. I was also nominated as a STEM scholar by my previous schools. I will be graduating with an integrated BSc from the University of Cambridge by the end of this academic year (2024) and with my medicine degree by 2027. I can also provide advice with medicine applications (personal statement advice, clinical experience advice, interview prep etc) and also provide Oxbridge mock interviews on top of GCSE and A-Level tutoring.

I focus my lessons based on the specification points for the respective exam board. I tailor my lessons to the spec point and explain the concepts (sometimes beyond the spec to ensure students understand the content rather than just memorise it). I then provide past paper exam questions to ensure proper exam technique. I walkthrough some questions (and answers) to ensure the student is able to understand how to receive the maximum amount of marks per question. I also include active recall and spaced repetition techniques (scientifically shown to enhance learning and memory) throughout my lessons to ensure retainment of knowledge.
