About Eleanor
I study Medicine at the University of Cambridge and prior to this, I studied Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and Spanish at A-Level. In my free time, I am a keen runner and also enjoy walking with my dachshund. Teaching is something I have enjoyed alongside my studies for several years, tutoring children from primary school age to sixth form in a wide range of subjects, from English to Science to university admissions tests.I find that teaching gives me a great sense of satisfaction through being able to establish a relationship with a student and seeing their confidence and ability flourish as they grasp new concepts and develop a real passion for the subject.

I am an enthusiastic and encouraging teacher and like to build a rapport with students to ascertain which teaching style works for them and how they best understand new concepts. I always incorporate the teaching method used in Cambridge, where the basics of a new topic are taught to students before they build knowledge and boost their confidence through application to more challenging problems and exam-style questions. I like to ensure my genuine passion for my subjects comes across in lessons and that pupils learn to share this enjoyment.
