About Rosie
*About me* Hey! I am a classically trained musician from the age of 5 in four instruments. Possessing the phenomenon called "perfect pitch", it was always very clear that music was what excited me the most and was the natural path for me to take! I am a young professional musician, performing up and down the country with an original music band and I am also the front woman of a function band. I have had a monthly residency at Ronnie Scott's, have performed at Glastonbury and regularly perform at UK festivals. I have been awarded a publishing deal with BMG for my songwriting and composition skills. *How I can help you* I coach aspiring musicians at all different levels and help you to achieve your musical dreams, whether that may be to play out in public one day, or just to be able to play your favourite piece of music on the piano! Everything is achievable once broken down into bite-sized chunks! *Lessons at my house or on Zoom only* Hello :) My name is Rosie Holloway and a couple of slots have become available with me. If you've been struggling to get that QOTSA guitar lick right, or you've always wanted to know how to sing that bit in Dreams by Fleetwood Mac in just the right way, I'm your girl. Looking for an adult learner who is dedicated and deeply moved by music, I would love to help you achieve your musical goals in a fun yet effective way, as I believe nothing can be achieved musically without the motivation of joy, which is essentially what music is in its purest form. A little bit about me:- At five years old it was discovered I had perfect pitch and so I was set to learn four instruments, only one of which I eventually dropped. To this day I am able to teach you the guitar, piano, singing or songwriting, essentially however you need to express yourself and unlock your potential. I believe music seeps out into every area of your life, makes you more confident, increases concentration and productivity and not to mention lifts depression. I am classically trained to grade 8 but dropped off into the pop + jazz world as I grew up, attaining a publishing deal for my songwriting with the global publishing house SONY BMG, performing at Glastonbury and holding down a residency at Ronnie Scott's. I'm currently studying a Masters in music performance at the London College of Music and developing and musically directing my own full band with my original music, and simultaneously recording my debut album in the studio. Rosie Holloway is likely the most talented musician I know. Her teaching skills are incredible, I highly recommend her if you are interested in properly learning singing, piano or guitar.
Rosie personalises her lessons to my daughter's likes and makes her lessons fun and engaging. She knows how to motivate my daughter (8 years old) and keep lessons interesting, both in person (before COVID-19 lockdown) and also on Skype. An hour flies by when Rosie is teaching! She gives clear explanations and also clear and manageable homework to do. I've seen my daughter make excellent progress since Rosie started teaching her a year ago.
Rosie is a superb tutor - she teaches my two children (5&7) in our house every week, she's engaging, fun, keeps them motivated and their progress has been superb. I cannot recommend her highly enough!
I got introduced to Rosie by a friend who was very satisfied with her method. I always had big insecurities with my voice, my hearing, my tuning and how I sound and I was always concerned and shy. On the very first lesson, Rosie had a sit down talk with me so I can let her in the world of my insecurities when it comes to my voice and she has taken all of them away. Rosie has ways to teach you and make you feel like it’s your best friend who’s teaching, very helpful techniques, constructive methods that will make you feel confident, sure about what you have been taught and make you crave more lessons so you can discover all the abilities, power and range of your voice. Highly recommended, always smiley and supportive,Rosie is there to make you let go of your insecurities and find your beautiful voice in the most fun way!
Rosie is one of the best teachers I have ever had. She has been teaching me for a year now and I never expected to make the progress I have in this time! She explains everything incredibly clearly and is very patient and encouraging. I can’t recommend her highly enough to anyone looking for a highly talented and inspiring teacher.
