About Diego
"Teens, kids, and adults often walk into my studio feeling a bit overwhelmed by the neck of the guitar. I see them staring at the fretboard while their fingers feel like heavy, uncooperative frozen sausages against the cold steel strings. My own path started long ago, and after 13 years of gigging, I have seen plenty of players burn out early.
It is strange how many people think you need to be a virtuoso to enjoy the instrument. I earned my BM Songwriting degree at Berklee College of Music to get past those myths. Being a blues and gospel player means I value the grit over the polish every single time. My teaching style is loose but held together by a real structure I developed over thousands of hours of trial and error.
I have worked with a huge range of people, and honestly, most of them just need someone to show them how to stop fighting the wood. If you can handle a few bad jokes while we work on your scales, we will get along just fine. You will find that I do not care about perfection, I care about whether or not the music actually sounds like something worth hearing."

We will cover fingerpicking, power chords, and music theory without turning your brain into mush during the process.
My degree from Berklee keeps our theory work grounded in reality rather than just dusty textbook pages. Because I have 13 years of performing under my belt, I know exactly which skills translate to a real stage.
