About Raisa
I'm Raisa, a Chemical Engineering student by degree, but a writer and painter at heart. I write Malayalam poetry, and I've spent time volunteering as a teaching assistant with underprivileged children through U&I Thrissur. Somewhere between painting, writing, and teaching, I realized language was never just a subject to me — it's how I make sense of the world and express what I can't say any other way. Sharing that with someone else, watching them go from struggling with a sentence to writing one that actually means something to them, is genuinely one of the most rewarding things I do. That's why I teach: not because I have to, but because I think everyone deserves to feel at home in their own language.

What makes my classes different is that I don't just teach Malayalam as a subject to get through — I live inside this language as a poet, so I can show you why a sentence feels beautiful, not just whether it's grammatically correct. Instead of rigid drills, we'll work through real reading, writing, and even a bit of poetry, at whatever pace actually fits where you're starting from. Having spent time teaching underprivileged kids, I've learned that people learn best when they feel safe to make mistakes — so expect patience and encouragement over pressure and correction. My goal isn't just for you to pass a test in Malayalam. It's for you to actually fall in love with it.
