About Irene
Irene Lo (she/her) is a Yoga Asana Teacher who helps students connect to their spiritual practice through the practice of yoga asana, pranayama, and meditation. Irene's first yoga class was hot yoga, and she was a regular student throughout high school. It was when she began working in an office that she returned to a regular practice that included hot, vinyasa, and yin yoga. Working in a toxic work environment led her to deepen her yoga journey and tap into her intuitive resources. Yoga was the gateway to her social awakening, and Irene quit her job in corporate communications to focus on decolonizing yoga and wellness in the West. Irene is a yoga teacher with 500 hours of training experience and over 1000 teaching hours of experience. She recently completed her 300hr multistyle yoga training with Bali Yoga School. She has trained under Clara Roberts-Oss and Carolyn Anne-Budgell for vinyasa yoga, Bernie Clark for yin yoga, and Kristin Campbell for hot hatha yoga. Irene has studied with Luvena Rangel on Ayurveda, Sanskritam, and Yoga Sutras. Her interests in yoga include asana, pranayama, philosophy, and mythology. Irene is an Intuitive Tarot Reader of the Soul Tarot lineage, and a TCM enthusiast. Irene is the Co-Creator and Co-Founder of the Womxn of Color Summit, a brave space for Black, Indigenous Women and non-binary folks of color to show up authentically in community. We are redefining what wellness and healing can look like when it is accessible to all.

I offer: Yoga asana practice (vinyasa, yin, hot hatha, chair yoga) Guided breathwork Guided meditation (nidra) Facilitated conversations on yogic concepts Tarot and oracle readings Life coaching I am a yoga asana teacher for spiritual women of color and allies. I teach online. I guide full vinyasa and yin classes on my Patreon and YouTube channel. I am currently based in Vancouver where I work with businesses and not-for-profits that believe in the practice of yoga for community well-being. I am a yoga mentor on trauma-informed theory and teaching framework in yoga, and class sequencing for new yoga teachers on their journey. I serve women of color, allies, PoC in organizations that share the values that I have on racial equity, intersectional feminism, and social justice. If you do not reflect these values in your actions, we are probably not aligned. If you are doing the work and are on the path, let’s talk. I am an intuitive tarot reader for self-growth. I love to work 1:1 for heart-opening sessions, or collaborate on celebratory events. I love to merge these intuitive practices in lessons when appropriate.

Perfect! Extremely acknowledgeable in yoga, and a very professional, intelligent, joyous, caring and highly intuitive individual. Although her fees are more than most, she is well worth the price! You will not find a better yoga teacher anywhere.
