About Mackenzie
I have a B.S. in Marine Biology and B.A. in Chemistry. I completed a masters in Marine Science in 2024, and am now working towards my PhD in Toxicology/Environmental Health at Duke University. I have tutored for over 7 years now, including 2 years as a supplemental instruction leader for Organic Chemistry 1 and 2 at UNCW, which involve tutoring course material in group like settings.

I give lessons to college level students. My teaching approach is interactive and I like to give many practice problems during a session to help gage where the student is at. I believe keeping the session interactive and making it more about the students involvement is important.
