About Mason
Pacing remains critical because nobody wants to spend 60 minutes fighting a boring exercise that leads nowhere. We start by picking a song you actually like and then deconstruct the tricky parts until they make perfect sense. My Berklee training ensures we cover the theory, but only in ways that help you understand why your favorite riffs work. Technical skills like reading tabs and soloing become natural consequences of playing good music instead of chores.
Feedback happens in real time while we trade licks or break down John Mayer style phrasing. We skip the dull drills to focus on genuine musical growth that translates directly to the fretboard. It is always a good time to stop guessing and start playing with actual intent. Just bring your guitar and a decent attitude.

Returning learners and working professionals often walk into my studio feeling stuck on a plateau. They sit down, plug in, and we immediately tackle the technical hurdles holding them back from playing like their heroes.
My Berklee education provided the formal framework, but 13 years of real world teaching taught me how to actually get results. I have guided over 500 students through the nuances of lead guitar, improvisation, and reading sheet music.
Power chords and complex soloing are just tools in the shed. I keep things loose while maintaining a solid foundation underneath our progress.
