About Joan
Tone and resonance plus genre styling define my approach to vocal training while breathing control forms the core foundation. Starting from these technical basics feels natural since I rely on 6 years of experience to guide pupils toward consistent results.
My BMus degree from the Curtis Institute of Music informs every technical correction I provide during our meetings. I have worked with many individuals ranging from returning learners to those seeking professional performance polish. Discipline remains the pillar of my methodology because high standards produce the best musical habits. Music has stayed central to my life since childhood and I enjoy sharing that sustained connection.

Confidence blooms within 1 term of structured practice for most students. Sight singing and diction are the primary elements that transform raw ability into stage ready performances. Warm up exercises serve as the backbone of our work together to ensure your instrument stays healthy and responsive. My background at the Curtis Institute of Music allows me to diagnose vocal tension quickly so we can resolve issues before they become bad habits.
