About Elizabeth
I am a career biologist who has had a passion for music and the arts since I was young. I began playing the clarinet in the school band and singing in the school choir when I was ten years old, and continued through college for a total of twelve years of performance experience. I taught piano and clarinet lessons to children aged 5-10 during my last three years of college.

I teach piano using the Alfred’s Basic series, and Clarinet through the Accent on Achievement series.
My goal is for kids not just to learn, but to become passionate about music. After they have a basic understanding of the instrument and how to read sheet music, I always have them work on a song of their choosing and encourage them to find music books that actually interest them. I find it’s the best way to keep them motivated and make more progress.
