About Xi
I am a high school chemistry teacher from NY. I graduated from college with a B.S. degree in chemistry and an M.A. degree in instructions and curriculum. When I was a junior in college, I started tutoring lower classes with general chemistry (both 1:1 tutoring and group tutoring if needed). Now, I am working with a local high school and teach chemistry, I just finished my first year teaching successfully.

I always have high standards for my students. Chemistry is a hard course, it requires a lot of passion and we have to work very hard in order to be good at chemistry. Modeling is very important in chemistry, I used a lot of demos when I teach chemistry.
As a tutor, I think it is important to show my knowledge of chemistry to who I am going to teach, build the relationship so it will be easier to communicate later. Also, I think it is important to approach questions in different directions, when one method does not work, try another method. Ask a lot of prob questions instead of just giving out answers.
