About Jessica
I began my teaching passion while in junior high school teaching the youth my neighborhood how to read. At that time, No Child Left Behind was gaining press and energetic traction. I felt like I was never behind or at risk because I taught myself how to read at 3 years old using a V-tech laptop. I figured a literate population is the solution, haha! I was 12 thinking I could solve education policy. No wonder I went to Brown for an Urban Education Policy degree. Thus, I have dedicated 20 years to influencing the love of reading, and general literacy.
