About Tanish
I am a 16-year-old Year 12 student at Otahuhu College, Auckland, with a strong interest in mathematics and teaching. I have consistently performed at a high level in math and was honored to receive the Best Mathematics Student Award at my school. Alongside my studies, I have voluntarily supported and taught younger students, which helped me develop clear communication skills and patience. I enjoy helping others understand difficult concepts and gain confidence in their learning. I am responsible, friendly, and committed to helping students achieve their best in mathematics while creating a positive and encouraging learning environment.

My lessons are clear, structured, and focused on building strong understanding in mathematics for Year 7 to Year 11 students. I believe maths becomes easier when concepts are explained step by step, so I ensure students fully understand the basics before moving on to more advanced topics.
I adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s learning pace and needs. Whether a student needs help catching up, improving confidence, or aiming for higher achievement, I provide patient guidance in a supportive environment where questions are always welcome.
Lessons include concept explanations, worked examples, guided practice, homework support, revision, and exam-style questions where appropriate. My goal is to help students achieve better results while also building confidence and enjoyment in mathematics.
