I am a 16-year-old girl and I recently finished my GCSEs at St Peter’s Catholic School in Solihull. I often help my friends and classmates with homework or classwork and would like to offer support for secondary school students specifically in science and mathematics in which I have predicted grade 9s

I believe in practice makes perfect. My personal method is “I do, We do, You do” I do: When approaching a new topic, I will demonstrate how to go through the task step by step We do: After that, we would look at a similar styled question together to see how quickly they have understood the process You do: The pupil will then independently complete a few more of those questions with my support if needed For certain questions when many different methods can be used to reach the same answer, I will demonstrate them all and let them choose which they prefer.
