About Sebastian
As a 19 year old currently taking a gap year, i am looking to tutor English literature to all ages up to A level. Throughout secondary school English was a subject i found engaging, creative and inspiring. Achieving a grade 9 at GCSE and an A* at A level, i believe i can help students formulate abstract ideas, acquire a passion for literature whilst learning the essential exam skills for essay writing. I have experience tutoring primary school children, but i am keen to extend my teaching to higher ages.

Patient, understanding and motivating, i am passionate about helping students find confidence and assurance in their ability. As someone who has just gone through the exam process and benefited greatly from tutoring myself, i understand the importance of a patient approach whilst encouraging students to take on the most challenging areas of their course to excel in English. I tailor my approach around teaching students the fundamental skills in essay writing, whilst simultaneously exploring the abstract ideas grounded in English. I believe both aspects of this method run hand in hand and are necessary for sparking interest in my subject.
