About Jake
I'm currently in Sixth Form studying A-Level Maths, Physics, and Economics, with my sights set on Electrical Engineering at university. I achieved grade 9s across maths, science, and computer science in my GCSEs, and I've always loved understanding how things actually work — not just learning facts, but figuring out the why behind them, which is exactly the mindset I bring to tutoring.
I spend a lot of my spare time building electronics projects with Arduino, soldering, and coding, which keeps my problem solving sharp and means I genuinely enjoy the STEM subjects I tutor rather than just teaching them by the book.
I got into tutoring because I remember exactly how stressful GCSEs felt, and I want to make that experience easier and less overwhelming for the next person going through it. My approach is patient, practical, and focused on making sure things actually make sense — not just memorised for the exam and forgotten after.
