97.90 ATAR || Year 12 Assessment DUX of GRC Oatley (2024) || Year 10 DUX of GRC Penshurst (2022) || UNSW Optometry Hi, I'm Hadiah! I will be studying the Bachelor of Vision Science/Master of Clinical Optometry degree at UNSW in 2025. Having recently completed the HSC in 2024, I know how stressful it is to be in Year 12. With a special emphasis on tackling exam anxiety, I'd love to share my techniques to help you study smarter and not harder in order to achieve your own learning goals :) INTERNAL RANKS: 1st in English Advanced 1st in Chemistry 1st in Mathematics Extension 1 2nd in Mathematics Extension 2 3rd in Biology HSC RESULTS: 93/100 in Mathematics Extension 1 (Band E4) 91/100 in Biology (Band 6) 90/100 in English Advanced (Band 6) 86/100 in Chemistry (Band 5) 84/100 in Mathematics Extension 2 (Band E3) WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT FROM OTHER TUTORS? I was always very stressed about my results during high school. I remember feeling my chest tighten and heart beat faster at the thought of sitting an exam. There was only one subject I was never really nervous for and that was English. English had always come naturally to me. When I had first received my HSC marks back, there was one mark that was a shock to me and it was my English mark. After ranking 1st in my cohort at school and receiving a mark of 99/100 internally for English Advanced, I had somehow ended up with a HSC mark of 88/100. While it's not a bad mark, the mark was significantly lower than what I was expecting: the beloved Band 6. After being told by many people that conducting a HSC results check would be a waste of my money, I knew I wasn't ready to give up so easily; I submitted a request for a results check anyway. Much to my delight, I found out there had in fact been an error in my result, I did in fact receive a Band 6 in English Advanced and I had my money refunded. This has inspired me to teach my students the power of persistence even when there seems to be no way out of the situation they think they're stuck in. Just like I didn't give up on my English paper, I will never give up on my students.
