About Molly
I have a PhD in English from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and an MFA in creative writing from the University of Nevada-Reno, both R-1 designated research institutions. In Milwaukee I was awarded a Chancellor's Graduate Student Award, a Distinguished Graduate Student Fellowship, and a Distinguished Dissertation Fellowship. I've taught over 800 undergraduate students in literature, creative writing, critical research and writing practices, and reading comprehension and analysis. I have extensive experience as a private tutor in literature and writing for middle schoolers, too.
I'm also a creative writer with over two dozen publications in notable literary magazines including Granta, One Story, and Lightspeed. I've helped run several literary magazines over the last 11 years, and my freelance editing business has helped authors improve their manuscripts to find literary agents and publications at major journals and presses.
