About JP
I have been a writing consultant since 1994. I contributed to the creation of the Writer's Web --the University of Richmond's online writing resource. I have taught hundreds of students and believe coaching writing requires mutual trust and discipline.
I offer techniques and strategies to improve writing and research.
When in the classroom, I received the highest student evaluations at the end of each semester. I have a high degree of care, great patience, and effective working knowledge of writing methods.

I have worked with students for decades--high school and beyond. I am especially adept at coaching during the writing of theses and dissertations. I have taught Composition at the college level, as well as Composition Theory and Pedagogy. I am published and have presented at conferences, panels, and other events. I am a lecturer and public speaker as well . My client base is primarily graduate students and academics. I work in all genres and disciplines.
I work well with writers--both aspiring and seasoned. We interact in a one-on-one setting--whether real or virtual. I love my career! Helping individuals grow as writers and communicators brings me great joy and satisfaction.
