I am a writer who has a Bachelor's degree in English and have previous experience tutoring students on a college campus at the Writing Center, as well as high school students privately at my house. I have provided students with a newfound sense of confidence as well as a sense of personal growth related to their writing abilities.

My teaching style is focused on enabling each student to provide their own respective input related to the work that they are supposed to complete so that they can retain complete agency over their work as a whole. For instance, rather than simply tell them how to go about addressing particular grammatical errors, I would ask how they think they would go about making corrections and offering guidance if they feel unsure or stumped in any way. Then, I would go about addressing multiple ways that they could make the corrections and let them decide if they want to heed my advice or not. In addition, instead of telling them what to write in their paper, I would simply give them a few pointers if they do not know how to begin and encourage them to compose content in their own words so that the writing is a pure reflection of their unique individual perspective.
