About Gabriela
Hello! My name is Gaby. I was born and raised in Lima (Peru) and I am a trained translator and interpreter, with a master's degree in Hispanic Linguistics and extensive experience teaching Spanish at different levels, both in group and private lessons. I have taught Spanish in Peru, the United States, and Canada. I love my native language and I love to teach it.

While my main approach to teach Spanish is based on the Communicative Language Teaching method, I adjust my teaching to my students' needs, preferences and aptitudes. I customize the contents when my students have specific purposes, and I use authentic material adapted to the appropriate level for learners to get input, and a series of activities and tasks. I provide extensive feedback and encouragement.

Perfect! Gabriela is a great teacher, I really like her approach, we focus a lot on pronunciation and repetition and it works very well for me !!
Perfect! I enjoyed the introductory class. I'm a little rusty, so Gabby was very helpful in easing/facilitating the conversation. I hope to get a bit smoother in my "conversas" :)

Perfect! Gabriela is a wonderful teacher. She has an extensive background in teaching Spanish, is super patient especially with beginners like me and provided a lot of motivation. She is also very kind and always went the extra mile even coming up with exercises specifically tailored to me. I HIGHLY recommend her. Whether you're a beginner or more advanced, she'll provide you with what you need to succeed. In addition, her hours were flexible and she was able to work around my schedule.
