About Alex
I am an experienced tutor working with my alma mater, Western Kentucky University, for 3 years, tutoring both individual students and small groups (~25 students). I achieved a B.S. in Physics and Chemistry and a B.A. in Mathematics within my four year venture at the school, graduating in May 2020. I am now working for a research group that is employed by P&G MBC, where I am a bench/assistant formulation chemist and a manager of a small group of scientists.

The first part of every tutoring session, outside of the introductions, should be gauging the students knowledge and confidence before beginning to question what they know and don't know. I have found this to be very successful method that helps the student really open up and express where they are struggling, once you genuinely know the tuttees concerns, you can assist them far better than just generically repeating questions/reading the book/etc.
