About Paula
I am a second-year BSc student majoring in Computer Science and Computational and Applied Mathematics at the University of the Witwatersrand. I have always been passionate about academics, having been my high school’s top learner for four consecutive years, Head Girl and a district NSC award recipient. I also have mentoring experience through the Promaths Alumni Programme, where I support and guide university students. Beyond my achievements, I am patient, approachable and genuinely committed to helping others succeed. I understand that every learner processes information differently, so I take the time to explain concepts clearly and create a comfortable environment where learners can ask questions, make mistakes and grow confidently.

My lessons are designed to make Mathematics feel less intimidating and more understandable. I explain each concept step by step, using simple language, relatable examples and guided practice. Every lesson is adapted to the learner’s individual needs, pace and areas of difficulty. I also encourage learners to ask questions freely, practise independently and learn from their mistakes. My goal is not only to help learners improve their marks, but also to build their confidence, strengthen their problem-solving skills and develop a better relationship with Mathematics.
