About Avery
I have been a tutor for over six months now officially, but I have been helping people with classwork and have tutored various subjects for over 9 years. I have taken the ACT and SAT a combined total of 23 times, and have scored in the 30s multiple times on the ACT. I have a composite score of 1450 on the SAT, with a 720 in Mathematics and a 730 in Reading/Writing. This was several years ago; currently, every student I have taught the art of ACT and SAT Test Preparation has improved their score dramatically, and, particularly with the ACT, they consistently score above 30.

These lessons are aimed to improve a high school student's score by at least 15% – and it can be done! A typical lesson plan may include Math, English, Science, or Reading drills, as with every other tutor. But what sets me apart is my ability to improve the score in a short period of time. It took me one month to get my student's score up 3 points, from a 31 to a 34. Furthermore, my Algebra students all improved their class grades to A's. I take a different approach with each student, and ask a variety of questions that will allow me to send each student appropriate materials to prepare. This is for students who want a high score on the ACT or SAT!
