About Hannah
Hannah Western-King (known professionally as Hannah Castleman) is a celebrated stage performer and vocalist who has captivated audiences across the country with the award-winning Down for the Count Orchestra and internationally performing vocal harmony group The Spitfire Sisters. After graduating from Goldsmith’s University of London with a Masters in Comparative Literature, Hannah dedicated herself to a her full-time career in music, performing around the world, including on board the Venice-Simplon-Orient-Express, the British Embassy in Luxembourg, and Caveau de la Huchette in Paris. Hannah has also performed at some iconic venues in the UK, including Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and at Leeds Castle summer concert in front of 15,000 people. Hannah has established herself as a vocal and performance coach in Southampton and the surrounding areas, and is Musical Director for both ENCORE Youth Theatre and Discarded Nut Youth Theatre, encouraging students of all ages to excel in their singing and live stage performances.

Hannah provides singing lessons for all ages, with a focus on confidence, musicality and performance. Each lesson is tailored for the individual student; whether you are working towards your singing exam, preparing for an audition or role, needing to explore microphone technique, or wanting to get back into singing after a long time away, each session will help you work towards your personal goals. With nearly two decades of performance experience and seven years of teaching and Musical Directing experience, Hannah has the knowledge to guide you through your singing journey, placing emphasis on wellbeing and confidence, motivating each student to get the most out of each lesson, and exploring singing and performance at all levels. Each session will be collaborative and focused on each individual’s needs. Depending on the students wishes, there is the option to enter for exams; her past and present students have a 100% pass rate on all vocal exams. Whether you're just starting your singing journey, returning after time away from vocals or an advanced vocalist pursuing singing and performance opportunities, our lessons will enable you to succeed in your musical endeavours.
