About Anna
Approachable, I am an experienced teacher, I have given English lessons as a foreign language to more than three thousand individuals so far! Native speaker, British and Irish citizen, I am a graduate of Oxford University and a lawyer by training.
I also have a certification in creative writing in English (The Open College, Dublin). People had high hopes for me; now I nurture them for you!
Holding CELTA (the world's most widely recognized English language teaching qualification from the University of Cambridge), I have worked with students from dozens of countries, of all ages, including those who have a disability, and who study English for various reasons.
The inner life of the student is of the utmost importance: after years focused on “self-development” I clearly understood that it is “soul-development” that concerns us at the time. As a follow-up to my university studies, life's adventures and my relationships with a mystical tradition, my pedagogy is fuelled by sources of wisdom and creativity, for inner life and for the world of action.

Traditional emphasis on improving spoken English by developing fluency and confidence. Innovative combination of activities including immersion in captivating stories that can serve as a bridge. Each tailor-made course module includes: a determination of learning needs; vocabulary and idioms; creative writing (optional); reading around a “news” theme; encountering a story and discussing important issues.
My tailor-made courses are recommended for adults who have already reached an independent/advanced level in English. The programme is tailored for each individual, but completing a learning module normally takes at least 6-8 lessons (see prices, there is a discount for 5-10 lessons). Let's talk together (tsavta) while sharing stories of wisdom (chokmah).
Outside of the tailor-made courses, I teach children and teenagers with passion and we read stories together.
No stress: I have been working online since 2020 and have participated in helpful courses discussing how to create a positive environment online.
