About William
Hi, I’m William. I’m a current Medicine student at Swansea University with an MSc in International Relations and a BA in History. My journey into higher education wasn’t always smooth — I used to struggle academically myself. This has made passionate about helping others who need the kind of support I once did. Through persistence, the right techniques, and tailored strategies, I developed the tools to overcome those challenges. I would share these with my students to help them do the same. I know how powerful it is to build confidence, especially when the path feels difficult or overwhelming. I also have personal insight into learning differences like dyslexia, having supported my younger brother throughout his schooling. I understand how students with specific learning needs can be unfairly held back, and I work hard to ensure that’s never the case in my sessions. My tutoring style is patient, clear, and focused on long-term understanding. Whether you’re preparing for GCSEs, A-Levels, or medical school entry tests, I’ll tailor each lesson to suit your learning style, pace, and goals — helping you feel more in control, capable, and confident.

Hi, I’m William, a current Medicine student at Swansea University with an MSc in International Relations and a BA in History. I offer tutoring in GCSE English, Maths, and Science, as well as A-Level History and Sciences. I also support students preparing for Medicine applications, including GAMSAT and UCAT. My tutoring approach is patient, adaptable, and tailored to each student’s learning style. I focus on building understanding, not just memorisation, using techniques like active recall, spaced repetition, and real-life examples to make material stick. I aim to build confidence as well as subject knowledge. I aim to transfer key skills I have acquired, that students can use further down the line, and at the next stage of the educational journey. Lessons typically last one hour, though this can be adjusted based on the student’s needs and attention span. Whether it's exam preparation, coursework support, or building foundational skills, I create a structured but flexible learning environment. I’ve worked in both healthcare and education settings, which has strengthened my communication skills and ability to break down complex ideas clearly. My lessons are suitable for secondary school students (KS3 to A-Level), including those aiming for competitive university courses.
