About Surbhi
Surbhi Samdani is an Indian Musician, Composer, Playback Singer and Performer. She has been trained professionally in Indian classical vocals for 10 years under various prominent gurus such as Pandit Raja Ram shukla , Pandit Banwarilal Rao ( Jaipur Gharana) , Suresh wadekar . She is also a BA and MA graduated in Hindustani Classical Music at Bhatkhande Music Institute Deemed University (BMIDU) in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India, institution in which she's currently attending for a PhD in Musicology. She works regularly as a performer of Classical , Semi Classical and Light Music in local festivals, private shows and local Rajasthani TV stations. Outside her native Rajasthan, she has also performed in different stages and festivals located in Mumbai, Bangkok, Paris, Amsterdam etc. She's also a 2017 Sur Sangam National Youth Music Festival TOP 10 winner in Bollywood category. As part of her musical work, she started to give private (Hindustani classical) Music lessons since past 3 years. She has also organized Indian Music workshops in All India and (Paris, Holland).

My Responsibilities
As the teacher, my responsibilities include creating a safe, supportive, and structured environment for all students and their families. I will teach lessons in a classical style with a focus on music theory and a rhythmic foundation. I will encourage students to begin the road to mastering vocal techniques in a way that best fits their need. Although the focus will be in classical style, other genres and styles of music will be used to help motivate students to continue practicing and enjoying the music they learn to create.
What to Expect
Students and their families can expect lessons to start punctually and to be very structured. Each student will be given a clearly defined “homework” plan each week. This homework may consist of practicing rhythm exercises, theory workbook homework, technique exercises, current repertoire, and more.
Surbhi believes learning music is a confluence between hard work, practise, passion, and a good communications between teacher and learner, which can inspire the start of the music learning journey.
As "Indian Classical Music" is the genre which combines all the forms of Indian Music , she will divide her classes in the following styles*: -
-Hindustani Classical (North Indian Music)
-Semi Classical
- Bollywood music
- Religious Music
- Bhakti Sangeet (Meera, Kabirdas, Tulsidas ) / kirtan
