About Emma
I went to the University of North Carolina at Wilmington for both of my degrees. I’m undergrad, I majored in finance & math with a certificate in actuary science. Since I finished that in 3 years, I went on to get my Master’s of Science in Finance & Investment Management.
While I was in school, I interned with a local bookkeeping firm. From there, I was able to be exposed to a variety of accounting keys and now work as a Staff Accountant here in Hershey, PA !

A few weeks into my freshman year of college, I met with an advisor to discuss my future path. Since I was majoring in finance, he exclaimed, “The math you are in now is the last math you’ll ever have to take!” I frowned and he was considerably confused. “You are the first person to ever react like that.”
From that meeting, I learned about actuary science and then added math fully to my degree path.
I am on of those people that love math. I get pleased when I can solve the puzzle, and tutoring allows me to offer multiple perspectives to assist in understanding. My main goal is to simplify math and make it less intimidating.
