About Emilie
I started my teaching career as a French language assistant working in various schools in Northern Ireland for two years, and taught junior and high schools pupils. Then I proceeded to teaching undergraduate students at Miami University, where I was a graduate student for two years, and went on teaching further undergraduate students at Brown University, where I was a PhD candidate for four years.
My spiritual quest lead me to South India, where I spent the past nine years, and occasionally taught spoken English to IT students.

I taught French language, culture and literature to undergraduate American students while I was a graduate student in literary studies at Brown University back in 2008.
I was thrilled to see the progress that my students would make through the use of the communicative approach. It was really impressive to see them becoming gradually autonomous as their language skills developped, along with their interest and passion for discovery and learning.
I look forward to experiencing that thrill again, with pupils and students from all walks of life.
