About Maynard
"Teaching started for me because I wanted to bridge the gap between academic theory and the grit of a live club stage. I vividly remember the frantic feeling of my first gig when a string snapped during a solo. With a Bachelor of Music in Contemporary Music Performance from Berklee College of Music, I have spent 13 years translating complex ideas into functional fretboard patterns.
I have helped hundreds of players handle grade exam prep, power chords, acoustic technique, improvisation, and soloing. Ear training, barre chords, music theory, reading tabs, and strumming patterns are the tools I use daily. It is just music."

"Pacing works best when we find a riff you already love and reverse engineer the theory hidden inside it. Imagine hearing a favorite track and suddenly realizing exactly how the chord voicings create that specific emotional tension.
Since I have played in 8 bands and released 5 records, I keep things moving by focusing on real playing situations rather than dry textbooks. Tone problems get fixed through hands on adjustments.
