About Grace
As a current high school student (class of 2020) I can understand the struggles students may have in math subjects. In fact, I've experienced some of the same struggles and found a way to overcome them. With first-hand experience, I am would be able to better help students. I have maintained all A's in my honors math classes. At school, I am a co-president of my school's Mu Alpha Theta chapter which is a math honor society that hosts math tutorial sessions every morning. I work well with kids, and I effectively communicate with parents. I have had previous tutoring experience with families around my neighborhood as well as tutoring my younger sister who is 10 in math and reading. When working with a new student, I first start off by getting to know the student. This is because I find that when a student knows their instructor better, they tend to learn better. I then gauge their level and their learning style.
I have worked with kids from 7 years old to kids who are 18 years old.
