About Winifred
I am a software developer with 3+ years experience. I have a degree in Information Technology and I have lectured students in web design and web development. In addition to that, I have also worked as a software developer both remotely and full time. I have skills in various technologies such as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Reactjs and React hooks, Redux, React native for mobile app development, node, express, mongoDB, graphql. What you will achieve from taking a course with me are as follows: basic knowledge of how to build a website from start to finish including creating prototypes, setting up and organizing files, learning how to use tools to create responsive designs to meet requirements , managing code using version control tools (git and github), hosting, you will also learn to develop web applications using modern technologies this includes client and server side, Thirdly, you will learn to develop native apps that run on both android and iOS platforms.

Being a software developer for 3 years and counting which includes lecturing students has taught me essential ways to teach students. My teaching methods are simple but effective, I believe in practice and this has been a useful method to carry students along. Every line of code has to be written by the students and practiced over again as new content is introduced. I structure my lessons from basic to advance starting from HTML to CSS while introducing bits of JavaScript. Once the students has gained a fair knowledge of JavaScript, I move to more in-depth aspects of JavaScript.
Server side programming is also introduced to the student when they have successfully completed a project based on the skills acquired in client side programming.
These lessons are for everyone from high school students to undergraduates or even graduates. Arrangements can also be made to better suit your schedule in terms of time, mode of study(weekdays or weekends) or type(private or group).
