About Destiny
Singing is far more about what you hear than what you see on a page. After 13 years of gigging in Americana bands, I realized that most singers struggle because they are looking at notes rather than listening to the rhythm of their own breath. I have worked with many students over the past 11 years to help them find a natural voice that projects without strain. My background allows me to pull from a deep well of stage experience to help you find your unique phrasing.
I want to help you gain the confidence to step in front of a microphone and tell your story with clarity and power. Every lesson we hold is meant to get you closer to the stage presence you want to project to your own audience.

The smell of a crowded room and the hum of the stage monitors sets the scene for every vocal performance. I prioritize breathing control and diction so that your lyrics cut through the mix during every song. We work on harmony singing and rhythm by listening to recordings and dissecting why they move us.
Performance recordings are reviewed together each month to give you an honest look at your own progress. I treat your voice as a living instrument that needs to be played by ear rather than analyzed by math. It is a joy for me to see my students finally find their authentic sound in front of a live crowd. I remember what it was like to face that fear for the first time.
