About Lyla
My love for singing began early in life, and that passion eventually led me to complete a B.Mus in Vocal Performance and develop a teaching career that has now spanned 9 years. Throughout my journey, I discovered how powerful it can be when students feel understood, supported, and guided with patience. This belief has shaped my teaching style, which focuses on building trust, encouraging curiosity, and helping learners grow at a pace that feels natural and empowering. I deeply enjoy connecting with each student’s unique goals and supporting them with clear explanations and practical approaches. Over the years, I’ve worked with learners of different ages, backgrounds, and musical interests, and this experience has helped me adapt my teaching to many learning styles. Whether a student is shy, expressive, analytical, or highly creative, I adjust my methods to highlight their natural strengths. I aim to create a calm, warm atmosphere where students can experiment with their voice without fear of judgement. This supportive environment helps them develop confidence not only in singing but also in themselves as individuals capable of growth and expression. Beyond teaching, I spend time exploring vocal literature, studying performance psychology, and learning from vocal science research to continually refine my methods. I believe that staying curious keeps me able to give students the very best guidance. Watching learners discover their expressive abilities, build vocal strength, and unlock emotional connection through music is one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. Helping students transform uncertainty into confidence is what makes teaching singing so meaningful to me.

Singing becomes a deeply rewarding journey when students feel supported, calm, and free to explore their natural sound at a pace that feels comfortable. My lessons help learners build a strong foundation through breath control, resonance awareness, pitch security, and expressive phrasing. Each session focuses on understanding how the body works as an instrument, allowing students to connect technique with emotion in a warm, positive environment that encourages gradual, steady growth. I make sure every concept is introduced gently, with practical exercises and simple explanations that help students feel capable and encouraged from the very beginning. As students progress, lessons shift towards developing vocal agility, tone consistency, range expansion, and stylistic interpretation tailored to their preferred genres. I guide learners through warm-ups, targeted technical drills, song breakdowns, and mindful listening exercises that strengthen both confidence and control. This stage of learning also focuses on posture, vowel shaping, diction clarity, and musical timing, helping students build good habits that support long-term vocal health. Every session is structured so students feel clear, supported, and fully engaged in their development. Advanced lessons introduce emotional expression, performance mindset training, artistic storytelling, and deeper technical awareness. Students learn to manage stage nerves, interpret lyrics thoughtfully, and communicate musically with greater intention. We also work on refining tonal richness, breath pacing, stylistic shaping, and advanced resonance placement. My goal is to help learners build not only technical skill but also meaningful artistic identity. I want every student to walk away feeling more confident in their voice, more aware of their expressive potential, and more prepared to share their music with authenticity and purpose.
