About Carissa
Hello :) my name is Carissa! I hope to meet you and then meet your needs. I am a lifelong learner (and teacher as teaching is a form of learning). I am in love with all educational topics, and hope to help have a deeper understanding and appreciation for whatever subject it may be.
I have a wide array of Academic English teaching experience. I volunteered at One World this semester working helping teach english for preschool children. I have taught English to children ages 5-20 in Latin America with Open English. I have taught individual lessons to students in Chile.

I start by accessing where you are at and what interests and goals you have and from there I build the class.
You will have homework to prepare for you before each class, so we can maximize your lesson by discussing homework and move on from there.
After each class we will do a reflection to metacognite your learning so that you are more intentional about your learning and can grow faster and deeper
