About Nompumelelo
I go by name of Nompumelelo Dail, born and bred in Johannesburg. I am currently residing in Grahamstown, attending school at Rhodes University. I am a second year student majoring in Psychology and Sociology. I am a bubbly, outspoken, easy-going and polite extrovert. My passion for teaching stems from the realities I see all around campus in my everyday life, whereby English is seen as a measure of intelligence. Students are struggling with participating in lectures and tutorial meetings because it has become harder and harder to articulate their thoughts properly in a way that will be well received. Academic writing is also a big thing in varsity such that it is the main cause for poor results from students as it is foreign. Backgrounds also have a huge impact because, there are students who were exempt for admission in higher education because they were taught Mathematics in their home languages. Seeing that English is the language of instruction considering the universality of it, those students are not performing as good as they used to. So my intention for teaching is so I can stop that cycle.

I have an accolade of being the spelling bee winner in 2013 for the Macdonald's Kathorus English competition. I still consider myself fresh from High School and exposed to life in varsity as of now. So if you have the same goal of furthering your studies or making sure that your English is prim and proper, I am the one at your convenience.
My lessons will be set in such a way that each and every one of my tutlings is engaged with the material I'll be using for teaching. It is a platform for each of you to have a voice and actually ask or comment on anything and everything related to the work that you might've been afraid to ask your respective teachers. Well I am well aware that a class consists of different personalities, so I have made it my responsibility to meet you all halfway and make sure that everyone is challenged and stimulated intellectually.
Last but not least, it is also a goal of mine to make English fun and not only referred to as a language of command.
