Upcoming artist that goes by Algo Más and that plays guitar/bass in Family Junket and Flower Problem

I met Alejandro through a listing that he posted on an app looking to build a studio of guitar students. Since taking online lessons with him earlier this year (2023), I’ve been very pleased with how accommodating he is despite me already understanding the basics of music. I’ve been able to appreciate the guitar a lot more because of his enthusiasm for the instrument, and that’s helped me as a guitar beginner grasp certain concepts more quickly than I thought I would. His teaching style incorporates joy for the music and the experience rather than just theory, and he’s been very detailed with teaching me technique after I brought up that concern to him. If you’re looking for a guitar teacher either online or in-person that makes lessons very personalized, no matter your skill level, I totally recommend Alejandro!

When I first started coming to Alejandro I was already committed to lessons at a music school. What made me switch was the absolute joy he has playing music that just gets you more excited and he’s helped guide me back to the fun of bass. His approach isn’t the most conventional but I leave every lesson feeling like I want to learn more and itching to practice again.

Alejandro is such a thoughtful, intentional teacher. He is nonhierarchical and very informed about the historical/political undertones of music. After learning from him, many other teaching styles fall flat -- which sounds sad to say but actually it's the opposite, it's very exciting and makes you realize how many other people/spaces you can learn from in your life. Anyway he has really changed how I approach music. Hope you future students out there reading this will feel the same way.. :)
