About Gandi
I'm a third-year Computer Science student at the University of Toronto with a GPA of 3.64 and Dean's List recognition for three consecutive years. I scored a perfect 800 on SAT Math, so I know the test inside and out, not just the material but how it's structured and what it actually tests.
I've worked in research environments at UofT and have experience breaking down complex topics in ways that are clear and approachable. I genuinely enjoy teaching and I take it seriously. Every student learns differently, so I adapt to what works for you rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.
If you have any questions before booking, feel free to reach out. I'm happy to chat about what you're working on and figure out if we're a good fit.

I actually want you to get it, not just memorize solutions or formulas (okay, we'll memorize a small handful of things, but that's it). I don't know what people say, math is really fun.
I'll usually start by figuring out where things are going wrong before we touch any new material. There's no point rushing ahead if the foundation isn't there. For SAT prep I use Khan Academy's official program since it's free, it's made with College Board, and it adjusts to your level as you improve. We'll go through problems together and I'll ask you questions along the way so you're doing the thinking, not just watching me do it.
A typical session is pretty low-key. We review what tripped you up last time, work through something new together, then practice until it starts feeling natural. I don't make it awkward if you get something wrong. That's just part of learning.
I work with middle and high school students in Toronto. If you've always found math stressful or just need someone to explain things in a way that actually makes sense, we'll be a good fit.
