About Nyra
I am a passionate tutor with 7 years of experience teaching chess to students from school to college level. My journey in education started with a deep love for the game and a strong desire to share it with others. Over the years, I’ve helped many students improve their thinking skills, strategy, and confidence through chess. One of my proudest moments was coaching a school team that went on to win at the district level. I believe learning should be exciting and meaningful. I focus on helping students enjoy the process while building discipline and focus. Every student is different, so I shape my lessons to fit their needs and pace. For me, chess is not just about winning—it’s about learning, growing, and becoming better with each move. Teaching has given me the chance to inspire young minds, and I’m always excited to guide new learners on their chess journey.

My teaching method for chess is built around motivation, real-life examples, case studies, integrity, accountability, and creativity. I believe chess is more than a game—it teaches focus, patience, and decision-making. I use real match examples and famous games to explain strategies in a way that's easy to understand. I motivate students by showing how small improvements lead to big wins over time. I also encourage honesty in play, responsibility in practice, and creative thinking on the board.
Each lesson is adapted to the student's level and learning speed. Whether you're new to chess or aiming to improve your game, I guide you step by step with practical exercises and clear goals. I also teach related subjects like game strategy, logic, and critical thinking. My goal is to make learning chess enjoyable, challenging, and rewarding for every student.
