About Elizabeth
Hello! I'm Mrs. K, and I'm here to help your child thrive academically. With a passion for education that spans both traditional and home learning environments, I bring a unique blend of experience to my tutoring sessions. I am a former classroom teacher with six years of dedicated experience guiding students through key learning milestones. Today, I’m a busy mother of two and an active homeschool parent. This dual perspective means I not only understand formal curriculum requirements, but I also deeply appreciate the need for flexible, engaging, and personalized learning strategies that fit a family’s lifestyle. Outside of teaching, my life is full! I'm a proud wife, a doting dog mom to two pups, and I love spending my free time as a sourdough baker (it’s my favorite form of edible science). My diverse background allows me to connect with students on a genuine level, fostering a comfortable and effective learning atmosphere. I look forward to working with you and your family!

Is your child struggling to keep up with reading? Let me help. As a former classroom teacher with six years of experience, I know how to make reading engaging and successful. For four years, I specialized in 2nd and 4th-grade reading, using proven phonics programs like Neuhaus and Saxon Phonics to help students build critical decoding skills. As a homeschooling parent I have used these programs to help my own child learn to read. I focus on creating a supportive and positive learning environment where students can flourish. Let's work together to boost your child's confidence and reading ability.
