About Thamisha
I have a deep love for teaching and am committed to assisting young students in developing critical communication skills. I specialize in early childhood development. I am now enrolled in Unirazak's Diploma in Early Childhood Education program, and I have the skills and knowledge necessary to provide a welcoming and stimulating learning environment. My Perspective on Tutoring: My objective is for children to possess a strong desire to learn – this can be achieved by fostering a welcoming, fun and interactive classroom where children will engage in the process. An important aspect of my work is laying the foundation for highly developed communication skills, which is primarily focused on speaking and listening. This bolsters their confidence in the language, and above all, makes it more enjoyable. Each child is unique, and as such, I employ a variety of techniques and resources suited to their learning style to ensure that they are motivated and engaged within the lessons. Techniques and Methodology: Learning Through Play: I make use of games, songs and even role-play as a technique to teach English for younger learners. This is an enjoyable and memorable way to learn. Engaging Activities: I target children’s ability to engage with English by encouraging the child to talk through storytelling, dialogues, and group discussions which helps in developing effective communication skills. Constructive Feedback: I offer constant feedback and supportive encouragement to actively promote a child’s engagement in the learning experience. Gradation: I begin with the most straightforward and simple language skills, and from there, advance to more complex skills. This gradual approach allows the child to develop comfortably and confidently. Typical Length of a Lesson: A typical lesson lasts between 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the age and attention span of the child. This duration allows for focused learning without overwhelming them. Qualifications/Experience as a Tutor: I am currently pursuing a Diploma in Early Childhood Education at Unirazak in Kuala Lumpur, which has equipped me with an understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies. I have experience working with young learners in various educational settings, helping them develop foundational skills in English and communication. Who Are My Lessons For: My lessons are designed for children aged 3 to 8 years old who are beginning to develop their speaking and communication skills. I offer support for beginners and intermediate learners, focusing on early language acquisition and confidence-building. I tailor each lesson to meet the individual needs of each child, ensuring that they progress at their own pace while having fun along the way!
