About McDylan
Hi, I'm McDylan, a passionate tutor and current Economics & Management student at the University of Warwick. I have always enjoyed helping others learn and achieve their academic goals, whether that's improving confidence in a subject, mastering difficult concepts, or aiming for the highest grades.
Having recently completed my own GCSEs and A-Levels with excellent results, I understand the challenges students face and can provide practical, up-to-date guidance on both subject content and exam technique. My academic achievements include multiple Grade 9s at GCSE and strong A-Level results in Mathematics, Economics, and French.
I pride myself on being approachable, patient, and reliable. Every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to suit individual learning styles and goals. My aim is not only to help students improve academically but also to build the confidence and independent learning skills that will benefit them long after our lessons have finished.
I am committed to creating a supportive and professional learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and reaching their full potential.

My tutoring approach is centred around building confidence, understanding, and exam success. Rather than simply teaching content, I focus on helping students understand why concepts work, enabling them to apply their knowledge independently in exams and real-world situations.
Lessons are highly interactive and tailored to each student's needs. I begin by identifying strengths and areas for improvement, then create structured lessons that combine explanation, worked examples, guided practice, and exam-style questions. I place a strong emphasis on developing problem-solving skills and effective revision techniques so students can continue improving outside of lessons.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged when preparing for exams. I provide clear explanations, personalised feedback, and practical strategies to help students achieve their academic goals.
I achieved top GCSE results, including multiple Grade 9s, and have strong experience studying Mathematics, Economics, and French at an advanced level. Having recently completed these qualifications myself, I understand the challenges students face and can provide up-to-date exam guidance and study methods.
My lessons are suitable for students of all abilities, from those looking to strengthen foundational knowledge to high-achieving students aiming for top grades. I primarily teach GCSE and A-Level students, but I am also happy to support younger learners who want to build confidence and develop strong academic habits.
