About Naomi
Hi! I’m Naomi, a university student in Manchester studying Philosophy and Criminology. I’ve always enjoyed English, particularly English Literature, and I love helping others understand things that they may initially find difficult.
I achieved an A in A-level English, an A* in A-level Art, a Grade 9 in GCSE English Literature and a Grade 8 in GCSE English Language. These experiences have helped me develop strong writing, communication and analytical skills, which I would love to share with my students.
I’m a friendly, patient and approachable person, and I believe that feeling comfortable asking questions is an important part of learning. I want my lessons to be a positive space where students can build their confidence, make mistakes without feeling embarrassed and gradually see their own progress.
I’m particularly interested in helping primary and GCSE students with English, whether they need extra support with schoolwork, want to improve their skills or are preparing for exams. As someone who is new to formal tutoring, I’m excited to get to know each student and find the teaching style that works best for them.
My goal is not just to help students get better grades, but to help them feel more confident in their own abilities and enjoy learning along the way.

I’m a friendly, patient and supportive university student offering English tutoring for primary school and GCSE students in Manchester. I achieved an A in A-level English, a Grade 9 in GCSE English Literature and a Grade 8 in GCSE English Language.
Although I’m new to formal tutoring, I’m enthusiastic about helping students improve their confidence and develop their English skills. I understand that every student learns differently, so I’m happy to adapt my lessons and explanations to suit their individual needs.
Lessons would typically be around 1 hour, but I can be flexible depending on the student’s age, needs and concentration. For younger students, lessons can be made more interactive and focused on building confidence, reading, spelling, vocabulary and writing skills. For GCSE students, I can help with English Language and Literature, including understanding texts, essay structure, exam questions, analysing quotations and preparing for exams.
I like to make lessons relaxed and encouraging while still helping students make clear progress. I’ll take time to understand what the student finds difficult, explain things in different ways when needed, and give them opportunities to practise what they have learned.
My lessons are suitable for primary school students through to GCSE level, and I’m happy to work with students of different abilities and starting points.
