About Theodore
My name is Theodore Griffin and I am a 19-year-old second-year student at Columbia University. I have amassed teaching experience and achievements over the past 5 years through teaching in interdisciplinary fields such as maths, English, Russian, and Mandarin Chinese. I am very passionate about education as the ability to instil new types of thinking and to inspire my students drives me to continue with teaching today. Thus, I offer personalised maths lessons up to the GCSE level where I design my sessions to meet my student's needs and to ensure no questions are left unanswered.

I teach personalised lessons that fit my student's requirements. Each class would be from 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes and we would begin with a problem that my student found confusing. I would explain the best approach in solving the problem, describing the mathematical theory and then providing similar questions to consolidate the student's learned knowledge. With 5 years of teaching primary and secondary level students in Maths, English, Mandarin Chinese, and Russian, I have learned successful techniques to help my students reach and maintain academic excellence. My maths lessons are designed for students of all ages until the GCSE level.
