About Seahyun
My name is Seahyun Song. I am an enthusiastic university student based in Winnipeg, deeply passionate about making mathematics and sciences approachable, engaging, and stress-free for high school students.
My Academic Background:
I have always excelled in STEM subjects and love sharing that passion with others. Throughout my own high school journey, I challenged myself by taking rigorous honors math courses, mastering advanced problem-solving techniques early on. My dedication to my studies earned me the distinction of receiving honor cords during my high school graduation. I have carried this strong academic drive directly into my university career, where I currently maintain a solid 3.14 GPA.
Why I Am Passionate About Tutoring:
I understand firsthand the pressure university students face when trying to balance heavy course loads, upcoming provincial expectations, and post-secondary goals. Because I recently walked this exact same path, I know precisely how to bridge the gap between complex university classroom lectures and a high school student's actual understanding.
Please do not forget that I am here to build a supportive, encouraging learning environment where students feel completely safe asking questions, making mistakes, and building the confidence they need to succeed.
My Commitment to Your Success, when you work with me, you are not just getting a tutor who recites textbook answers. You are getting an academic mentor who understands the local system, models effective study habits, and knows exactly what it takes to adapt to university courses. I look forward to working together online to help you unlock your full potential and crush your academic goals this semester!

These online sessions are designed specifically for Manitoba high school students (Grades 9–12) who want to boost their grades, master difficult concepts, and confidently prepare for university level, Applied Math, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
My Methodology and Approach
I believe that no student is "bad at science"—they just haven’t had it explained in a way that matches their learning style. As a current university student, I remember exactly what it feels like to sit in those high school classrooms. I break down complex, intimidating STEM formulas into simple, visual, and logical steps. I loved science-related subjects so I can definitely help students love science as well.
What a Typical Lesson Looks Like
The First 5 Minutes: We review the student's recent homework problems or upcoming test schedule to target immediate needs.
The Core 35 Minutes: We dive into the core concept using an interactive digital whiteboard. I sketch out diagrams, write out equations in real-time, and share my screen so the student can follow along effortlessly.
The Final 15 Minutes: The student takes the lead to solve a practice problem independently. This ensures they have fully mastered the material before the session ends.
What Sets Me Apart is that I do not just give answers; I teach the specific study habits and strategies that people would get interest in the science. Because our sessions are entirely online, students save valuable travel time, learn from the comfort of their own desks, and get access to digital summary notes after every single class. I empathize with the students very well and I could even somewhat 'play' with students recommending relevant science-related YouTube videos that are fun to watch or share news articles or stories related to scientific topics related to the subject.
