About Poppy
I completed my high school in 2022 during covid times and when social media had a big impact on the lives of students. As I am currently studying to become a primary school teacher I would love to work with younger students and help to develop their confidence in their work and provide lifelong skills for their future schooling. I believe that it is important that we have our own thoughts and opinions in our work but within a structured frame so that the best possible results are achieved.

I am currently studying a teaching degree in Canberra and work as a Learning Support assistant. I have four years of teaching experience as I was a swimming teacher before commencing university. I believe that the best way to teach is to ask guided questions but allow the students to articulate their own though process and foster independent problem-solving skills. I believe however, that regular feedback is essential for building confidence with a helpful hand.
Typically I offer one hour lessons aimed at primary aged children.
